When Jessica Brown received a breast cancer diagnosis while her children were just three and five years old, her world changed dramatically. Facing this life challenge, Jessica found herself at a crossroads and made a powerful decision to pivot from her demanding career in public relations to focus on healing and wellbeing.
Drawing on her long-time passion for yoga, which she had practiced since her twenties, Jessica became a certified yoga instructor. She combined this with her love of nature to create Wild Fox Yoga in January 2024, offering unique lakeside yoga and wild swimming sessions aimed at fostering joy and connection.
“My cancer journey was life-changing, but I consider myself fortunate for how it redirected my path,” Jessica shared from her home in Knowle. “Launching Wild Fox Yoga allowed me to heal, reconnect with myself, and spend meaningful time with my family after chemotherapy and surgery.”

Based at Box Trees Farm & Craft Centre in Hockley Heath, Wild Fox Yoga has blossomed into a vibrant community where like-minded people can find support, joy, and new beginnings. Jessica also organizes wellness events at Spot On Wake in Wootton Wawen, including yoga, wild swimming in crystal-clear spring water, sauna sessions, and invigorating ice baths.
“Sunday mornings by the lake are magical,” Jessica explains. “We start with energizing yoga flows on the decking, followed by a refreshing swim in the lake. Afterward, guests enjoy the sauna or embrace the challenge of ice baths at 11°C and 7°C. It’s incredible to see people surprise themselves and build confidence as others cheer them on.”
Jessica’s events always conclude with a warm gathering over hot drinks, giving participants an opportunity to connect, share stories, and form lasting friendships. She also hosts Sound Bath sessions at local venues like Hogarths Hotel, adding a meditative layer to her wellness offerings.
Her family plays an important role in the journey. “My kids love being involved—they even help out at events and have handed out flyers door-to-door,” she says. “My husband Jim’s support is invaluable, especially during weekend activities. What started as a personal healing mission has truly become a family effort.”
Jessica’s inspiring story highlights how adversity can create opportunity and how community, nature, and mindfulness can help people find peace and happiness. Wild Fox Yoga continues to grow, offering a welcoming space for those seeking to smile, heal, and reconnect.
