The Rising Sun, a Black Country pub in Tipton, is earning a reputation as one of the region’s most haunted spots. Landlord Malcolm Roberts recently shared chilling accounts of paranormal activity with Disco Dave’s Pub Reviews, including an incident where he was physically pushed by a spirit in the cellar.
Malcolm, who runs the Black Country Ales pub alongside his wife Julia, says that supernatural encounters aren’t uncommon. “Believe me, it’s haunted because it’s happened to me multiple times, and customers have seen ghosts,” he explained.
Reports from the pub include glasses mysteriously breaking behind the bar and drinks being thrown from tables, often even when the venue is busy. These eerie happenings have made The Rising Sun a popular destination for fans of the paranormal, with “haunted nights” regularly selling out.
The pub previously featured on the TV show Help! My House Is Haunted, with a full hour-long episode dedicated to its spooky stories.
