Deliveroo is rolling out a significant new feature for customers in London: the ability to book restaurant reservations directly through its platform. The feature, called Deliveroo Reservations, launches this Thursday and provides users access to a range of prestigious London restaurants, including Dishoom, Dove, Hide, Kricket, Barrafina, and Kolae.
This move comes as part of Deliveroo’s broader strategy to expand beyond takeaway delivery services. Acquired last year by US-based DoorDash for £2.9 billion, Deliveroo is leveraging technology from SevenRooms, a restaurant booking platform also acquired by DoorDash for approximately £900 million, to power this new service.
Suzy McClintock, Deliveroo’s Vice President for Consumer and New Verticals, highlighted the company’s goal: “This launch supports restaurants in growing through new channels. Whether placing an order with Deliveroo or booking a table in-store, we aim to drive discovery, demand, and revenue across every touchpoint.”

Integrating SevenRooms’ technology within the Deliveroo app allows restaurants to reach new customers while making it easier for diners to explore and book some of London’s finest dining venues in one seamless experience. Joel Montaniel, Vice President and Co-founder of SevenRooms, added, “Bringing reservations into Deliveroo’s app offers London restaurants an innovative way to connect with diners and expand, while simplifying how customers find and secure great tables.”
Following DoorDash’s successful rollout of restaurant bookings on its US platform late last year, Deliveroo’s new service represents a strategic push to diversify and boost growth within the UK market. Although initially limited to London, Deliveroo plans to extend the booking feature nationwide later this year.
