Barclays is rolling out attractive incentives for customers who switch their current accounts before August 27, 2026. The offer includes a £200 cash bonus for those opening a standard Barclays current account and a chance to earn up to £600 in exclusive rewards with a Barclays Premier account.
For customers opting for the standard account, the process involves switching at least two active direct debits and depositing a minimum of £2,000 within 30 days. Meeting these criteria qualifies them for the £200 cash reward.
Premier account holders gain access to a more premium package of perks, with options like Michelin-starred dining experiences, luxury hotel stays, top-tier sporting and entertainment event tickets, and family attraction passes valued up to £600. To be eligible for a Premier account, customers must either earn £75,000 or more annually, maintain savings or investments of £100,000 or above with Barclays, or satisfy a combination of these conditions. Opening the Premier account requires using the Barclays app, switching at least two direct debits, and paying in a minimum of £4,000 within 30 days.

Beyond switching rewards, Barclays is also providing additional benefits this summer for existing customers. Premier members can enjoy offerings through Barclays Experiences, including complimentary drinks at Gail’s bakery, cinema promotions, prize draws, and other entertainment giveaways.
In addition, all personal Barclays debit card holders may earn a 5% cashback on fuel purchases at Tesco petrol stations until July 31, capped at £10 per month.
